Responsibilities
Provide technical support for Utilities Division Power Distribution Group, Powerhouses and Utilities Division.
Individuals in this role utilize a broad range of electrical skills on design, installation, operation, maintenance, and ongoing improvements to the TNO electrical system.
Support provided is a blend of office and field environment.
Description:
- Candidate will perform Staff Electrical Engineer level work in Utilities Power Distribution Group and Powerhouses
- Candidate will be involved with the design, installation, operation, maintenance and ongoing improvements to the plant electrical system and equipment in assigned area
- Candidate must function well in a group or team environment.
Position requires working closely with operations, maintenance, manufacturing supervision, contract engineering, project engineers, project managers, construction forces and members of Plant Engineering staff to assist manufacturing units in meeting maintenance and production objectives - Candidate will be in a Staff group directly supporting Power Distribution Group and Utilities Division
- Primary job expectations will be to support Utilities Division in the design and installation of various electrical projects including:
engineering studies, electrical equipment/instrument specification and selection, capital project support, project estimating, technical field support of electrical systems and equipment, project scope documentation and definition, high voltage equipment, power distribution equipment, substations, switchgear, turbogenerators, wiring and motor circuit installations, instrumentation design and selection, relay setup/programming/commissioning and programming involving drives, tracking and reporting data in support of Power Distribution goals - Candidate must be able to use digital tools such as SIEGA, PI, SharePoint in addition to the Microsoft suite of tools
- General electrical experience is desired in areas such as process instrumentation, process control, grounding, lighting, motors, and high voltage power distribution
- Should be familiar with reading single line, elementary, P&ID s and use of field notes in search of underground drawings
- Candidate must complete all assigned duties in a safe manner
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering from accredited college or university
- 5
years of electrical engineering experience preferred - PE License preferred
- Experience in industrial high voltage design, distribution and maintenance preferred
- Good personal communications and people skills, customer focused and self-motivated
- Experience with design, drafting, field verification, installation, troubleshooting, and problem solving in an industrial setting preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate multi-discipline projects
- Familiarity with the NEC, NFPA 70E, Arc Flash and System Protection Coordination

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
