The Employee Service Center (ESC) Specialist works on a team that serves as the primary contact for most all Human Resources (HR) related information.
Respond to inquiries from a large customer base including employees and alumni from all levels of the company, as well as their dependents, by a variety of contacts including telephone, personal visits, email or hardcopy mail.
Responsible for problem resolutions between the customer base and all third party administrators.
Develop a personal knowledge-base, which enables the ESC Specialist to be an expert on all company-provided benefits, including health care, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans.
Recommend improvements to ESC processes, and work with the ESC Team and benefit plan stewards to develop improvement plans.
Serve as a primary steward for a variety of HR processes, working closely with HR Centers of Excellence and HR Managers to execute those processes.
Perform data analysis and reconciliations of processes to ensure compliance with company policies as well as governmental requirements.
Communicate with confidence, sensitivity and discretion with individuals, teams, and groups.
Assist others in the use of on-line resources to help them find pertinent information, make personal benefit and HR decisions and changes.
Use SAP and call center technology to perform all aspects of the job.
Solve problems and improve processes through the use of initiative, creativity and analytical skills.
Minimum education of high school graduate or equivalent.
Previous work experience in Human Resources or insurance industry is preferred (i.e. health care, dental, life, and disability).
Be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP and SharePoint is also desirable.
Self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage time effectively.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
