6K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Purpose The Systems Analyst I works as a team participant to implement and support the solutions and directives of the Chief Information Officer, and will assist the work of the IT Manager and Network Administrator.
Also, will work with other Information Technology staff to ensure the completion of assigned directives.
Essential Functions Provide assistance in installation and implementation of various technical solutions; Keep records of work done through the ticketing system, and email.
Communicates with other Information Technology staff; Implement solutions for user needs, document requirements, translates the user needs and requirements, and communicate with other senior staff of the Information Technology Department; Work on-site to provide essential oversight, problem-solving, and implementation of needed solutions, repairs, or replacements; Test and diagnose systems to ensure critical requirements are met or exceeded; Often work alone or with limited staff assistance; Assist in emergency situations with other Information Technology Staff; Be available for afterhours ON CALL work as assigned; Mentor other employees; and Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge of Computer Systems and other Technical Solutions; Experience with Computer Operating Systems and demonstrates diagnostic knowledge and skills; Ability to write and revise standards and procedures; Customer service attitude.
Willing to work to resolve and complete solutions for various departments and employees of the City of Kingsport; Problem-solving skills; scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing software and hardware solutions; and Listening skills to aide in the determination of needs and solutions for various departments.
Education and Experience Completions of a high school/GED/HiSET and at least 6 months of experience with full time work in systems analysis.
Certifications in CompTia, Cisco, ITIL, and/or Microsoft, and/or a 2 year degree in Information Technology preferred.
